ELECTRICAL ENGINEER: We are currently looking for an Electrical Engineer to be part of our team by supporting the design and implementation of a variety of electrical power, control and automation, and critical systems. They will lead project teams in design of medium and low voltage power distribution and auxiliary systems, lighting, UPS, fire alarm, data and telephone.

Typical duties include performing electrical power and lighting calculations and preparing construction drawings and specifications. The candidate must be a self-starter and willing to learn, able to work independently and as part of a team, and must be comfortable with the broad scope of cradle-to-grave design engineering.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 5 to 10 years’ experience in the consulting industry
  • Registered Professional Engineer in Virginia, or the ability to attain licensure within 6 months through comity
  • LEED AP preferred
  • AutoCAD experience a must (Revit experience desired)
  • Federal Specification writing experience preferred (SpecsIntact)
  • Fire Protection training and experience considered

STRUCTURAL ENGINEER: We currently have an opening for an Entry level to Staff Structural Engineer to expand the design team in support of projects for military, local and state government, higher education and private development clients.

Candidates must willing to learn, assist with the preparation of plans, specifications and construction administration. The ability to partner with the existing team, collaborate with other disciplines and work in partnership with leadership throughout the entire company is essential to maintain enduring relationship with our employees and clients.

Specific Requirements include:

  • Entry level to 5 years of experience.  Primary design responsibilities will include commercial, office, and industrial buildings, including wood, steel, light gage, and concrete structures
  • Desire to learn and develop the ability to determine loads based on applicable building codes, design elements of structures for gravity and lateral loads, and coordinate with project design
    teams to resolve design issues and completion requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited engineering program
  • EIT Preferred, with the ability to become a Registered Professional Engineer in Virginia
  • Desire for personal growth toward project engineer and leadership development
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Expectation to contribute to the project development through client and project meetings
  • Ability to assist with the gathering of data from the project sites
  • Be a team player in a multi-disciplinary environment
  • AutoCAD experience needed (Revit experience desired)
  • Compensation commensurate with experience

MECHANICAL ENGINEER: We are searching for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join the design team in support of projects for housing authorities, military, local and state government, higher education and private development clients.

Candidates must display technical experience in the preparation of plans, specifications and construction administration. The ability to partner with the existing team, collaborate with other disciplines and work in partnership with leadership throughout the entire company is essential to maintain enduring relationship with our employees and clients.

Specific Requirements include:

  • Track record with effective project delivery for complete systems including HVAC, Energy Recovery, Energy Modeling, Geo-thermal, and Plumbing
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 5 to 10 years’ experience in the consulting industry
  • Registered Professional Engineer in Virginia, desired
  • LEED AP preferred
  • AutoCAD experience a must (Revit experience desired)
  • Proficient in Load analysis and energy modeling – Trace Trane or similar
  • Commissioning and Controls experience preferred
  • Federal Specification writing experience preferred (Specs-in-tact)
  • Fire Protection training and experience considered
