These one-time scholarships were offered to rising Virginia High School Seniors during 2007 only, especially to celebrate this Commemoration year.

Originally, competition organizers planned to award just five scholarships. However, with a tie for the fifth place score, it was decided to award a total of six $1,000 scholarships as we were so pleased with the response and participation.
