Meadow Landing South Subdivision, Chesapeake, VA
- The Authority wants to redevelop an area of the City which was a high density, high crime area. Several years ago, the Authority purchased 44 smaller housing sites and structures which have since been demolished.
- DJG is now designing 36 housing units in 18 duplex structures to be sold to a wide range of owners. The development will have three and four bedroom residences, all with garages.
- The new residences will incorporate “green building” techniques and sustainable building design.
- Design includes all utilities and infrastructure design, and approval for rezoning to allow for smaller lots than allowed in the current zoning and shorter front setbacks with sidewalks.
- The goal is to make the subdivision as “pedestrian friendly” as possible.
