William E. Gard Station 24, Town of Kill Devil Hills, NC

This two-bay drive-through Station will serve a joint call demand area for southern Kill Devil Hills and northern Nags Head. The Station, situated on a one-acre parcel, is designed to comply with the Town architectural requirement for facilities in the Commercial 158 corridor.
The facility will house a full-time staff of six with two first due apparatus plus a required support vehicle to meet the “first responder” demand during the heavy vacation seasons.
The Station's design is scheduled to meet the USGBC’s LEED-NC rating system and achieve a “Certified” rating.
Anticipated to be finished by Fall 2008
