Maintenance Office Expansion

• The Office Expansion was an interior renovation project that adds approximately 1,400 sf of new office space to an existing warehouse building. The existing 10,000 sf building contained approximately 2,000 sf of office space that opened from an existing hallway directly into the warehouse. 

• DJG designed the new office space flanking this central corridor that now allows access to the new and existing office areas from a new foyer and reception area. This provides separation between the office area and the warehouse portion of the building which is still used by the owner for storage. 

• Finishes for the office area include standard commercial finishes including carpet, painted walls, and lay-in acoustic tile ceilings.

• DJG's design solution includes wood frame construction inside the existing warehouse envelope. 

• DJG reconfigured the existing mechanical systems and added an additional heat pump unit to provide full heating and air conditioning to the offices. Work to the existing mechanical systems includes integrating existing ductwork with new to accommodate the new layout.

• Electrical systems upgrades include the addition of a new load center on the existing service, new lighting, reconfiguring receptacle and device locations, and making provisions for the installation of new data / communications equipment.
