Scattered Site Housing

• DJG was chosen to help the Authority design the rehabilitation of 20 single-family homes scattered of within the City of Hampton.

• Prior to surveying any individual dwellings, DJG worked with HUD to develop a master set of specifications used to rehabilitate the homes to HUD's Section 8 Housing Rehabilitation Standards. These master specifications were customized to meet HUD's requirements and formatted so the local residential contractor community could quickly understand the scope of work.

• Working with Hampton RHA, DJG implemented a process that quickly and efficiently developed preliminary and final work write-ups, and automatically generated construction cost estimates.

• Following notification of a selected single-family residence, DJG conducted a thorough evaluation of the property to determine the scope of the necessary repairs or rehabilitation work.

• DJG produced preliminary and then final work write-ups, and the necessary floorplans and details when appropriate.

• DJG assisted the Housing Authority in the inspection of the work during this two-year rehabilitation project.
